Blox League Beginner Guide: Your First Hour on the Pitch

Your first hour in Blox League: joining from Roblox, picking a starter mode, earning XP and avoiding day-one trading mistakes.

How do you start playing Blox League?

You need exactly two things: a Roblox account and the official game page. Blox League is a standard Roblox experience — search “Blox League” inside Roblox, or open the verified page at roblox.com/games/118675786171302 and press the green Play button. Roblox may ask you to sign in or verify your age first. There is no install beyond Roblox itself, and no purchase: the game is free.

It runs anywhere Roblox runs — Windows and macOS PCs, iOS and Android devices, and Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Pick whichever you have; the modes and progression are the same.

What should your first match be?

Queue casual 1v1 first. It is the fastest way to learn how the car touches the ball, because you cannot blame a teammate for a conceded goal and you touch the ball constantly. Once kickoffs feel natural — usually two or three matches — switch to casual 2v2 or 3v3, where positioning and passing start to matter.

Leave ranked for later. The official listing offers ranked and casual for every format, and ranked matches place results on your record; entering them before you can reliably hit the ball just builds a losing streak. The full comparison is in modes and ranked play.

What happens in the lobby?

Between matches you return to a Roblox lobby area where you can:

  • Queue the next match in your chosen format
  • Customise your car — colours and cosmetics, one of the game’s three headline features
  • Trade items with other players
  • See your XP and progression

Exactly which cosmetic slots and lobby features exist is not documented in the official description — the game updates almost daily, so check the lobby itself. Nothing in the confirmed feature list costs money: the only paid perk listed is 1.5x XP for optional Roblox Plus/Premium subscribers.

How do you earn XP fast?

Every completed match grants XP. The only officially documented multiplier is the 1.5x for Roblox Plus/Premium subscribers. Since matches are short, the honest answer is volume: more matches, more XP. What levels unlock is not yet documented — the developer has announced “level up drops” as coming soon, which suggests level-based rewards are on the way. See the roadmap for what else is confirmed.

What mistakes should beginners avoid?

Four day-one mistakes cost new players the most:

  1. Trading away early cosmetics. Item values are community-driven and you have no feel for them yet. Until you have read the trading guide, decline trades.
  2. Hunting for codes. There is no confirmed code system in Blox League — sites promising “working codes” predate the game itself. Details in codes status.
  3. Queuing ranked immediately. Casual teaches the same mechanics without the record damage.
  4. Chasing the ball in team modes. In 2v2 and 3v3, one player pressing the ball while others hold positions wins more games than three cars stacked on the ball.

Is anything pay-to-win?

Nothing in the official listing is. The confirmed paid element is the optional Roblox Premium subscription (1.5x XP), which speeds progression but unlocks nothing that hits the ball harder. Wins in car soccer come from touches and positioning, which money does not buy.

Quick first-hour checklist

  1. Open the official game page and press Play
  2. Play 2–3 casual 1v1 matches to learn ball contact
  3. Move to casual 2v2 or 3v3
  4. Try the car customization menu between matches
  5. Skip trading until you have read the scam red flags
  6. Ignore any site promising codes — there are none yet
